the time is now... i guess...

so i answered the questions. and here are my results. i guess my 3rd choice should be McCain who only had only 2% on Huckabee. and it's sad to think that if i were going for the television vote i'd have to pick the law & order guy before colbert...

So here's the question: if - all things considered - my ideals lie pretty close to those of both dem choices, what is so wrong with gender playing a little part of my vote? that's not to say it will - i'm not giving it up that easy - it's just a question. seriously though - why shouldn't that be a valid - if not nearly as important as the rest of the issues - part of the process? just asking.

by the same logic, would it be ok to vote AGAINST Hillary because she's a woman?

no. your logic would be the same if i said i would vote for hillary because i wanted to vote AGAINST the black guy. voting against hillary because she's a girl is sexist. voting against barack because he's black is racist. in my question, i like both. in yours, you don't. if you said you wanted to vote for barack because he's a guy - i wouldn't have an issue. but excluding her just because she's a girl... not so much.
